Iris is a provisional psychologist who joined CoRe in 2023, first working an admin and group therapy facilitation while completing her PhD in psychology. Holding a Masters in Clinical Psychology from overseas, she became a provisional psychologist in 2026 as she completes of her doctoral studies.
While working together with children to build a strong and trusting relationship to support growth and change, Iris values connecting with parents to support them in navigating challenges, building confidence and emotional understandings with their precious little ones. Her approach draws on evidence-based therapies including Child-Centred Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based therapy along with other flexible strategies that can be tailored to suit each child. Iris is also certified as a LEGO®-based group therapy facilitator.
Alongside her clinical work and research, Iris is passionate about teaching and contributes to several subjects at Swinburne University, including physiology, research methods, and therapeutic procedures.
Outside of the therapy room, Iris is found travelling and spending time at home with her two cats.
